The Order of Magic seeks to have greater understanding of and to be closer to the various supernatural forces of the universe. The number of elven wizards and the general elven fascination with magic have made the Order the center of a major mystery religion (and recipient of numerous contributions). Followers are inducted into various levels of the mysteries, though of course all the greatest secrets are reserved for the priests. In certain circumstances a devoted follower's closeness to the power may give him or her a small bonus in magically related situations (+1 on a save for example). The Order sees astrological factors as being particularly important for magic, and events like eclipses are often holidays for the order.
Symbol: Star (not a pentagram)
Organization: The order is said to have something of a formal hierarchy, though this exist primarily to administer the Orders wealth, acquired from worshipers over the millennia and used to further the study of supernatural forces. Real status in the order depends on discovering or rediscovering spells, making or finding powerful magic items and showing a deeper understanding of the supernatural world.
