King's Longbowman

The scourge of lowborn mercenaries and high born knight’s alike, the Mighty Britannic Longbow is a truly devastating weapon in the hands of the King’s Longbowman. To be selected one must be a champion archer, hardened warrior, and worthy of the trust of king and country. This honor normally falls to the fighters, rangers, and warriors of Albion and Cymru who have mastered the longbow and used it on the battlefield, but others with similar skills and experience may also be invited to join the ranks of the King’s Own. Whoever they are, they must maintain their loyalty to their rightful king and provide some service for the kingdom. For many, this means leading other archers in the battles in Britannia and Gallia which the two monarchies regularly engage in. Adventures in the name (and interest) of king and country may also be worthy service, unless the king thinks otherwise.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The Longbowman is proficient in simple weapons, the longbow and short bow, and light armor.

Pull: The Longbowman can use a Mighty Britannic Longbow as if there strength was 2 points higher. For example, a Longbowman with a strength of 16 could use a Mighty Britannic Longbow built for a strength of 18, and receive the full +4 damage bonus.

Bonus Feat: The Longbowman gains a bonus feat at 2nd level and 4th level. He must meet the prerequisites for the feat; however levels in Longbowman can be treated as levels in fighter when determining eligibility. The Longbowman can choose from: Precise Shot, Improved Precise Shot, Many Shot, and Weapon vs. Armor or Greater Weapon Focus, Greater Weapon Specialization, Improved Critical or Weapon Specialization with the Britannic longbow.

Pierce Oak: If the Longbowman has the Weapon vs. Armor feat, opponents he attacks with the Britannic longbow loose 3 points of their bonus to AC from armor worn, or their entire bonus if it is 3 or less. Other bonuses to AC are unaffected. This supersedes the normal bonus from the feat.
